Born in Lanzarote, he grew up surrounded by vinyl’s, with influences as diverse as: Barry White, Bee Gees, Silvio Rodríguez, The Beatles, Antonio Carlos Jobim or Nina Simone.
Having always been attracted to disco, soul and funk sound, during his residency in Ibiza he developed his other 2 favourite styles: Chill-Out and Deep-House, with performances in nightclubs and radio stations of the island.
Currently he develops his activity in the Canary Islands, always faithful to its concept:
“Looking for the right sound to enjoy at home, in the car, at work, in a bar. Choosing mostly avant-garde, electronic sounds, respecting the old and organic sound, mixing them when necessary. Believing in good music itself, despite individual differences in listening and appreciation. Whishing, above all, that you enjoy my selections.”

Right now Deeplastik is focused on two things; music and helping others. Combining the two aspects of who he is was always the goal and he's since made it happen. Now he plans on continuing making electronic music, as well as then converting said music and its benefits to help others around the globe.

Jonay has become one of the most relevant figures within the oldskool scene both in Spain and England where he has played for renowned events such as Fantazia, World Of Rave , Retro, Rejuvenation and Time Machine among others
